  • Capt. Manuel Portales was born in Cuba in the year 1963.
  • He started fishing on the shores of his remote province of Havana and other places in Cuba. While living close to the Caribbean Sea, gave him the opportunity to grow up as a seaman. From then, Fishing and boats have been his passion.
  • The Coastal of Cuba, Venezuela, Chile, and now the United States have been his recreational fishing area. Many adventures have perfected his fishing techniques with more than 40 years of experience as a fisherman.
  •  He became a professional boat captain in Venezuela, where he emigrated in 1996. He was in charge of a crew of a longline fishing boat for four years and a professional scuba diver.
  • In 2006, at the age of 49, he moved to Tampa, Florida, where he bought his first boat. Ever since, he has been fishing all around the coast of Tampa Bay, the East Coast of Florida, and the Bahamas. He was always hoping to start a charter business.
  • In 2016 he Bought a Stiletto catamaran, a sailboat made entirely in Nomex honeycomb-cored (a material that is rarely used for boatbuilding because the molding procedure is far more sophisticated); the result a very strong and lightweight panel. The Stiletto Catamaran offers a very spacious surface and a lot of compartments and accommodation. Drastically modified, it has been powered with only 50 HP and can take a cruise speed of 18 miles per hours, with very smooth surfing. 27 ft. LOA, 8 ft. beam, and 1.5 ft. draft.
